Interactive Interview: Spicy Cajun Cookbook Notes

Spicy Cajun Cookbook Pt. 1

Straight Outta Natchitoches, Louisiana!

Hello Dearies,

I have a treat for you! Welcome to the first installment of the HDB Interactive Interview, where I connect with authors and have interactive and action-packed interviews via Zoom. In this time of social-distancing, we have to continue to adapt. Here at HDB, we are doing just that and having an absolute ball.

Author Spicy Cajun

Our first guest at bat is Ms. Nisee Young, aka Spicy Cajun, and let me tell you, she lives up to her pen name in every way. Spicy is a dynamic personality! In her life she wears many hats; mother, grandmother, veteran, poet, artist, and advocate. But in this episode, we are focusing on her hat as a family chef, passing down her love for family, culture and food in her cookbook: Spicy Cajun, Sharing My Blessings of Cajun & Creole Dishes.

In this episode we will be sharing stories about life, dropping tidbits of wisdom, and cooking up 3 dishes from the Spicy Cajun Cookbook I; Crabmeat Au Gratin, a Roux for Louisiana Cajun Gumbo, and lastly Caramel Pecan Pie!!!! Enjoy the interview and if you would like to purchase a copy you can email Spicy at spcykjin@live.com and provide proof of purchase. The books are $20 (includes shipping), and can be purchased via Cash App $SpicyCajunLLC, put your email address in the Cash App remarks so that she can connect with you.
